Vuonna 2017 ei ole Finnconia. Sen sijaan Helsingissä järjestetään 9.8.–13.8.2017 World Science Fiction Convention eli Worldcon, maailman scifiharrastajien vuosittainen päätapahtuma, joka pidetään nyt ensimmäistä kertaa Pohjoismaissa.

There will be no Finncon in 2017. Instead a World Science Fiction Convention (a.k.a. Worldcon) will be held in Helsinki, August 9–13, 2017. Worldcon is the main event of science fiction fans around the world, and this is the first time it will be held in the Nordic countries.
